Foul smelling blood after giving birth??

i just had my baby girl last thursday night, and for the last 2 days my blood flow has had a foul smell to it. tomorrow morning a nurse from the hosp is payin us a home visit so i can mention this to her then, but i just wanted to know if any other mommies have been thru this. im scared somethin is terribly wrong... please help me
