My little guinea pig is sad ):?

My guinea pig is very skittish and ive had it for about a week. He cries and squeals all the time.....he won't even let me pick him up without him zooming around his cage. Please help he won't even move if I come in the room and he seems to panic. I feed him and he doesnt really eat. All he eats is a few nibbles of guinea pig food and oranges. When I do catch him and pick him up he squeals REALLY loud. He nibbles on my hand and tries to jump out of my hands. Please help him his name is Zephyr and he was born Jan 20 2008
