Wait so a goalie can't be Captain, but....?

there's no rule, but the job of the A's and C's is to to talk to the refs throughout the game, they are the only ones who are legally allowed to, so it's stupid to have a goalie who can't cross centre and isn't on the bench to talk to the coach to be that go between. it just makes no sense. we always had a rule that the goalie is an unofficial team leader as they have a natural leadership role, but wearing the letter on their jersey, other than a point of pride is a waste of the office, because they can't perform the on ice tasks.
