My asthma won't be stopped, and I'm on everything! HELP ! please! hellllp.?

the best advice I ever had for my 3 asthmatic kids was to make their home environment as safe as possible for them. Since a person spends a long period in their bedroom, this is where we concentrated our efforts. We did the following: no carpet, curtain, books or stuffed animals stored in there. All involve dust mites and dander. kept closet door closed. Did not use any strong smelling soap or fabric softener on kids clothes, especially the bedding. Had the mattress and pillow covered with allergy covers. Did not use air fresheners, especially spray ones. changed furnace filters often and used the allergy ones. no house pets. That way, they had at least one place that the were reasonably sure the asthma wouldn't bother them. I know it sounds strict but if you can't breath, you can't breath. Also, get into shape asap. If your body is strong, you will be able to handle the attacks when they come. Also watch food. My oldest daughter couldn't eat sunflower seeds. We never figured out if it was the nut itself or the dust in the bag that effected her. Good luck, I know suffering like that is tough.
