If you don't believe in love whats the point of living?

I hear a lot about the phrase "if you don't believe in God whats the point of living?" But I just thing God is love so it's synonymous, at least to me. But really is there a point to life if you don't try to understand love, it doesn't have to be some one your attracted to also, could be loving your parents or friends as well.
